Karen has a deep passion for self-care and helping others connect with their purpose and passions in life in a variety of ways. She uses dance, fitness Eating Psychology, Reiki and a vast selection of other tools to help others become more present in their bodies and to approach life in more pleasurable and authentic ways.
For over 20 years, Karen has dedicated much of her time and energy to youth in her community, including at-risk youth and survivors of sex trafficking. She has worked with several youth service organizations, schools, churches, a local juvenile detention center and more to help empower youth of all backgrounds and races all while raising two daughters (now teenagers) through challenging times.
Her youth work organically transpired into a love affair with mind/body wellness and self-care and shaped her path into self-employment. She is now fulfilling her purpose through coaching parents in transition/divorced parents, offering a variety of wellness workshops and movement/fitness classes.
“I am grateful for the relationship I have with my daughters and even more importantly, for the relationship they have with each other. It is one based on mutual respect, honesty and acceptance. We are not a perfect family, but we are perfect for each other.”
Karen finds endless joy in dancing, drumming, spoken word poetry and music and brings an energy wherever she goes that communicates “I’m having a party and EVERYONE is invited.”
